1. The Ring
I really like this movie because I love scary films. For some reason I enjoy being scared out of my mind, and The Ring was one of my favorites. I thought it was a very good blend of creepy vibes and some parts of just straight up terror. It was also one of the first scary movies I ever watched, so the concept of a demon girl trying to kill everyone was so bizarre and strange to me that it was somewhat entertaining. I also remember being amazed at how a person appeared to be crawling out of a t.v. set. The effects in this movie were very well done in my opinion, and were quite striking.
This movie is one of my favorite happy, uplifting comedies. I have been watching this film for a very long time, and it's basically a classic in my mind. I consider it to be one of the best action comedies, because it's so original and not the norm. There really is a driving plot that keeps you involved and interested, and there are some pretty high tension scenes involving unusually large rodents and six fingered men with swords. However, this movie is a favorite of mine because of the comedic aspect. It really is an incredibly clever, funny movie, and it is one of my favorites to quote.
3. The Sixth Sense
Another scary thriller, I loved this movie for two main reasons. First off, I loved the little boy in the movie. He was such a sweet adorable child that it balanced out the freaky dead people. I loved his little face, voice, and actions throughout the entire film. He and his mom both got along so well and were both so sweet that I found myself rooting for them the entire movie. Another reason this movie is one of my favorites is because of the huge twist at the end. Twist endings are so interesting and mind blowing to me, I absolutely love them. The ending of this movie was so unexpected and interesting that it quickly made the movie one of my favorites of all time.
